"Diamond Dust Flies as Cadets Warm Up for Hard Schedule"
Baseball team manager Walter H. Roll, Jr. and Coach Pauxtis leading practices. Season schedule is listed.
"Enrollments for September Must be in at an Early Date"
Cadets returning to the college and preparatory school are enrolling for the next school year earlier than in the past. A new dormitory is under construction in order to meet the number of preparatory school students.
"With War Imminent, College Plans Every Possible Service to Community, State and Nation. No Interruption of Scholastic Work"
A message from President Charles E. Hyatt stating that even though work at PMC will continue, the college will assist the nation wherever possible.
"Graduates, Ready for Service, Commissioned High in Reserve Corps"
Many alumni have procured positions in the Reserve Corps including Rukard Hurd, Frank Sutton, Professor Herbert J. Wild, Henry V. deHority, and William C. Godfrey.
"General Scott, Chief of Staff, to Review Corps on Alumni Day"
Major General Hugh L. Scott, Army Chief of Staff, plans to review the corps on Alumni Day, June 20, 1917. He received an honorary Doctor of Military Science from PMC in 1916.
"Star End Football Captain"
Robert R. Horlacher will be next year's football captain, following past captain Louis S. Sigel's withdrawal from PMC.
"Stirring Patriotic Exercises and Glee Club Concert on Washington's Birthday"
Washington's birthday was celebrated with morning patriotic exercises and a "hop" that evening. Supreme Court Reporter William I. Schaffer was the day's orator. Reverend William R. Houston led prayer. Professor William H. Blake led the glee club. The Mandolin Club was led by Professor Amos E. Taylor. Glee Club and concert participants: Sowinski, Christenson, Rudolph Williamson, Lower, Davis, Simpson, Purdy, John Pool, Henry Pool, Albert Ardussi, Charles Ardussi, Walter Lupton, Edward Lupton, Backes, Bastian, Hummel, Winneberger, Lynch, Mosser, Roll, Sweeny, Wilcox, Davis, Fitz Gerald, Moore, Myers, Seaton, Wilcoxon, Munns, Sterling Williamson, Brogden, Harris.
"First Class Riflemen Win; Ardussi, 1919, High Man"
The First Class won over the Second Glass in the Washington Birthday's Gallery Shoot. Charles Ardussi had the highest score. Other winners and team members are mentioned.
"Captain Morey Addresses Chelsea Club Yachtsmen"
Captain Lewis S. Morey addressed Chelsea Yacht Club members at Philadelphia's Hotel Adelphia on March 20, 1917. He spoke of the College and its support of the nation in the current international climate.
"Shryock, '00, Belmont Iron's Chief Engineer, Lectures on Construction Of Great Sun Shipbuilding Plant"
Alumnus J.G. Shryock, Chief Engineer of the Belmont Iron Works, spoke to the First and Second Class about the Sun Shipbuilding Plant on February 28, 1917.

"Cadet Captain C. Rudolph Williamson, 1917"
PMC corps, faculty, and staff attended the funeral of Cadet Captain C. Rudolph Williamson in Media. He died on March 6, 1917 at Chester Hospital due to kidney trouble.

Economics students took tours of Philadelphia financial institutions on February 27, 1917 under the direction of Professor Ralph B. Harris.
"Trophies for Gymnasts in Annual Competition"
List of winners of the Indoor Athletic Exhibition and Prize Contest held on March 16, 1917: William Edward Backes, Charles Curtiss Persiani, Jr., Richard Victor Huebner, Edward Alfrend Mueller.

A list of preparatory school student participants in an exhibition of horsemanship on March 19, 1917: Howarth, George, McCaffery, Reed, Wishart, High, Long, Robles, Speakman, Saeger, and Hoffman.
"Cavalrymen in First Tests"
Announces squads for riders resulting from performance on Cavalry tests.
"'All-Around Stars,' Says Press"
An article entitled "P.M.C. Cage Men All-Around Stars" praised PMC basketball players. The illustrated article appeared in _The Philadelphia Press_ on March 4, 1917.
"Hoopes, '901, Leads Beaver Battalion"
Alumnus Eugene S. Hoopes organized and led the Beaver (Pennsylvania) Battalion.
"Fourth Class Tossers Interclass Champions"
The PMC College basketball championship was won by the Class of 1920, who were awarded the Morris Trophy.
"St. John's and George Washington Win Battles"
PMC's basketball team lost to St. John's College of Annapolis, 22-13. PMC also lost to George Washington University, 21-9.
